![]() ![]() I definitely prefer my Kitana to be more slender. :(Īnyone else notice that Kitana has put on the pounds and/or muscle since her debut in MKII? Katalin Zaminar is not a bulky martial artist (and by no means is Becky Gable), but you can definitely see a weight increase from MKII to MK4 and to the modern MKDA model. ![]() As we all know, her look was the only thing Kitana had going for her in that game. The MK:SM is amazing! It's edgy, there's a great attention to detail on her gloves, boots, and body suit, they mixed black and blue well, and she looks deadly, sleek, and ninja-like. In retrospect, I can appreciate the efforts of the design team to soften her look as it apparently was important to soften Kitana's character in this game. I don't know if these flaws translated into her in-game model, but she received quite a disappointing render with an awkward pose. Many commented upon her render's release that her head shape was funky and her eyes were lopsided. But there are serious design flaws in Kitana's model. MK:SM and MKvsDCU are the first games to deviate from that look, with mixed results. From MK3 up to MKDA, she was stuck in a perennial blue corseted leotard. Kitana's costumes have largely been a mixed bag. I don't understand what it has to do with anything related 's not something a lead army general would wear nor is it a princess 's just sort of.exists. And I never cared for her alternate MKDA look. It fits her image as a ninja assassin better IMO. :( Anyone else notice that Kitana has put on the pounds and/or muscle since her debut in MKII? Katalin Zaminar is not a bulky martial artist (and by no means is Becky Gable), but you can definitely see a weight increase from MKII to MK4 and to the modern MKDA model. The world needs more insectile ladies crawling with iridescent grubs, speaking for hive minds, and throwing wasp grenades at people.Kitana's costumes have largely been a mixed bag. You know, I do quite like the look of the insectile new fighter D'Vorah, as seen in this trailer. He's being dangled from a stick as pre-order bonus DLC, though, so don't look at him. If you want to track every knot, bump, and turn of the marketing campaign, this trailer also marks the first moving-3D-pictures looks at returning cowboy monk Kung Lao and the four-armed Goro. If the very-much-flesh-and-blood Jackie Chan can make fan fighting look so exciting and skilled, why is the unreal Kitana so boring? The answer is probably "because the other fighter is actually trying to punch her, and not only punch her but stab her, set her ablaze, and tear her spine out too." But still! The point is: Kitana is returning to the rebooted Mortal Kombat, a new trailer for Mortal Kombat X reveals. Fighting with fans is, of course, cool as all heck, so I never understand how Mortal Kombat's fanfight lady Kitana managed to make it goofy.
